Raja Ravi Varma was the famous Indian Oil Painter who lived in the Eighteenth Century. His was born in Trvancore which is situated in kerala. He started proving his ability to canvas the beauties around him. He was encouraged by his uncle who helped him in his painting work. Later a Bristish oil painter gave him main lessons of the art of paintings. Most of his paintings were of Indian women on historic stories and a good portion of these women were Malaya lees from kerala.
