Carl Anthony Pavano is born January 8, 1976 is a Major League Baseball pitcher for the Minnesota Twins. Pavano was selected by the Boston Red Sox in 13th round of the 1994 amateur draft.
Although they have been plagued by injuries Pavano was an important part of Florida's starting rotation and had a very successful postseason in 2003 World Series Champion Marlins.
Pavano followed his playoff businesses with his best season to date in 2004 posting a 18-8 record and a 3.00 ERA. In spring training in 2007, said Yankees pitcher Mike Mussina to Pavano to prove that he wanted to pitch for the team.
Pavano will still be a desired product in the free agent market that winter even with his injury history.
