Singapore celebrates 46th National Day on Tuesday, and several compliance ceremonies were held on Monday to mark the occasion. Crowds gathered in the Marina Bay Sands and Resorts World Sentosa Singapore soak in the spirit of this National Day. Imagine lugging around 5 kg camera equipment from 12 , 21:00 every Saturday for 3 months. My collection of the cam gear is modest. Skipper considers himself much more with 2 or 3 camera bodies and lenses the size of bazookas. The afternoon was hot as hell and we had to walk much, climb up and down, sometimes running, while keeping an eye on things to shoot. I am so sorry that people who sit beside me on the bus home at the end of each shot. This year's NDP took a fresh new approach to present the show as a musical that traces the life and times of a Singapore family through different eras. The show was an outstanding performance led by Sharon Au and Timothy Nga.
The show started at 18:00 sharp and ended with a pyro-musical at around 8:05. Fireworks were released within three combined samples and 3 of the National Education Agency for the primary and secondary school students, but the samples were scaled down with full force unleashed on the day.
6 military contingents a mobile column of SIR, and various schools and civic allowances, marched past the town hall and then into the city streets. Three military orchestras followed the parade inspection, and later in March past of military music. The Singapore Fire Department also participated in this first parade with their fire engines into the mobile column.
By next year, the quotas to 76, including the then sitting Singapore Armed Forces, RSP and several cultural groups. This is partly due to the introduction of national service programs in the military and police, and later extended to the fire, later called the Singapore Fire Services in 1970.
