An estimated 100,000 police and military personnel have been hired to keep the athletes, visitors and gaming venues safe for the opening ceremony of the 2010 Commonwealth Games. Three countries are threatening to boycott the Commonwealth Games opening ceremony because they claim the organizers have not told them enough about the incident. Scotland, New Zealand and the Isle of Man has refused to guarantee that they will march in the evening.
